Spotlight: Whole-of-University Indigenous Framework

Bringing together a whole-of-University framework for initiatives supporting the excellence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is an ambitious undertaking. Doing it in a concise and inclusive way is even more ambitious!

The University of Newcastle has done just this! Their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education and Research Framework includes, but gone beyond, a Reconciliation Action Plan. It is grounded in the relationship with local communities. A great example of how to bring together all Indigenous initiatives across the University to increase understanding, collaboration, and accountability.

Check it out here. Well done to Nathan Towney Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Leadership @ the University of Newcastle and team!
