Submissions and Law Reform
One way that we make an impact is through our advocacy in law reform processes. Submissions provide the opportunity to spell out solutions, informed by our client’s experiences.
Our Approach
Participating in Inquiries, law reform processes and other public processes is one way that we seek to create change in our community.
We focus on law reform to create better justice system outcomes for victim/survivors of sexual assault and murdered and missing (disappeared) first nations women and children.
In 2023 and 2024, Principal Solicitor and Director Karen Iles was invited to give evidence at two federal parliamentary inquiries, contribute to the Terms of Reference and a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the Australian Law Reform Commission Inquiry into Justice System Responses to Sexual Violence.
